We know that Chimpanzees engage in quite extensive verbal communication – but what are they saying, how and why? Pawel’s research analyses vocal sequences and tries to break them down into “phrases” that express socially relevant information. Pawel will also describe some of his projects on chimpanzee conservation and human-wildlife conflict.
