Artists of Perth

Presented by Perth & Kinross Council, the exhibition features over 20 artists, all based at Wasps’ Perth Creative Exchange, a former school transformed into one of the city’s most important creative hubs. By bringing their work out of the studios and into the public realm, the exhibition offers a rare glimpse into the talent, collaboration, and quiet daily graft that defines this unique artistic community.

Behind each artwork is a personal story rooted at Perth Creative Exchange. Textile artist Kerri Watson, for example, balances the precision of her craft with the unpredictability of hand processes, often working across disciplines in a studio environment that encourages experimentation. Just down the corridor, Karl Macrae has built a following for his vibrant, handmade textile pieces; his practice a testament to how accessible, joyful creativity can thrive in shared spaces.

An opening event, Picnic in St Paul’s, will take place on Saturday 20 June (starting at 1pm), offering an opportunity for the public to meet the featured artists and celebrate the launch of the exhibition.

The St Paul’s Plaza exhibition is free and open to all, inviting the public to discover the stories, skills, and shared spirit that make Perth’s creative community so distinctive.
