Friends of Perth and Kinross Archive

The Friends of Perth & Kinross Archive was established in 2000. It was started by local researchers who wanted to support the Archive and create opportunities for more people to learn about their history and culture.

Members enjoy two newsletters each year, an annual programme of talks and outings, and volunteer their time supporting a wide range of cataloguing and outreach projects in the Archive.

PERTH MUSEUM

Perth Museum will open its doors on 30 March 2024 after a £27 million redevelopment project. This world-class cultural and heritage attraction will highlight the fascinating objects and stories that put Perth and Kinross at the centre of Scotland’s story.

The Museum is housed in a heritage Edwardian building that once served as a gathering place hosting everything from markets and concerts, to political conferences and wrestling matches. This historic venue has been transformed into a major visitor attraction by award-winning architects Mecanoo.
