Join Dr Janel Fontaine as she introduces you to what Treasure Trove is, how the system works, and what it means for members of the public and museums alike. She will also highlight some of the recent star finds from Perthshire, some of which are held within the Perth Museum itself.

The Treasure Trove Unit are responsible for recording and processing archaeological finds made by both the public and professional excavators across Scotland. Dr Fontaine assists with recording finds, responding to queries, and preparing for committee meetings, while also meeting with finders at the museum and through outreach events. She is responsible for liaising with finders and museums in the Highland Council and Comhairle nan Eilean Siar areas, as well as for processing carved stones found across Scotland.
