Learn how to make a delicious loaf of bread as part of the National Bread Festival.
This Sourdough September, come along to learn all about sourdough breadmaking at our ‘Flour to the People’ workshop!
Led by Lyndsay Cochrane, Project Coordinator at Scotland The Bread, this workshop will cover the basics of breadmaking using their freshly-milled, flavoursome, nutritious and locally sourced flour. You’ll have the opportunity to mix, knead, and shape your own dough to take home and bake. Additionally, you will learn about the unique qualities of landrace grains and how, by baking with them, you can contribute to a passionate movement advocating for a better bread system.
No prior experience is necessary to participate.
What attendees should bring:
Either: a mixing bowl and tea towel, loaf tin, baking tray, or small banneton (proving basket) to take the shaped dough away to be baked at home.
A small tub or jar to take sourdough starter away if wished.
Aprons and all other equipment will be provided.
£11 (inc. 10% booking fee)
