Have you ever wanted to capture the quiet beauty of a graveyard? Join us for a unique photography workshop where we’ll explore the historic Greyfriars Graveyard with an old-fashioned twist.
Using a pinhole camera and tin-plated dry plates, you’ll learn to develop photos the classic, analogue way. This hands-on experience will teach you to see the world differently as you capture the intricate details and serene decay of this urban sanctuary. Discover the surprising life thriving among the tombstones, from urban flora to local fauna, and see why graveyards are such vital green spaces within our city.
This workshop is perfect for anyone interested in photography, history, or simply looking for a new way to explore one of the city’s most fascinating landmarks. All materials will be provided.
Please note part of this workshop takes place outside, and starts at the AK Bell Library.
This event is supported by the Eric King Chiu Lo Legacy and Perth UNESCO City of Craft and Folk Arts.
