Mel Jameson was born and brought up at his home in Perthshire and was educated at Glenalmond College.
In one of his many important roles in life (including being a senior British Army Officer, Lord Lieutenant of Perth and Kinross), he was also chief executive of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo between 1995 and 2007 – and has written a book about this experience. This event promises to be highly entertaining, as well as giving us exclusive tales from the build up to the Tattoo's programmes.
BOOKMARK's home for the last ten years has been Blairgowrie Community Campus on Hamish Henderson Place. The postcode for the campus is PH10 6UZ and the What3Words location is sake.physics.executive.
Between events there is an opportunity to speak to our authors and other attendees whilst browsing through our pop-up bookshop, courtesy of Adventure into Books. Grab a coffee and cake or something more substantial - catering facilities are available all day.
Budding writers? Take the chance to discuss ideas with members from Perthshire and Nethergate Writers - in fact make a day of it and purchase our heavily discounted day/weekend passes.
Please arrive in plenty of time to take your seats before the event commences.
