Dear Evan Hansen

"You will be found" in this award-winning coming-of-age hit.

UHI Perth theatre department presents Dear Evan Hansen, the internationally acclaimed musical, in the show’s first-ever amateur production in Perth. Released to amateur companies only late last year, this landmark staging brings together students from HND Musical and Technical Theatre, BA Theatre Industry Practice, and BA Popular Music, with performers, production teams, and a live pit band collaborating on a fully realised professional training production.

The winner of six Tony Awards (including Best Musical), the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album, and an Olivier Award for Best Musical, Dear Evan Hansen is a deeply personal and profoundly contemporary musical about life and the way we live it.

Dear Evan Hansen is a powerful, emotionally charged story about connection, identity, and the need to be seen.

Featuring a soaring score and urgent themes of mental health, grief, and belonging, the show speaks directly to a generation navigating an increasingly disconnected world.

Running 26–29 March 2026, this production showcases the passion, skill, and creativity of UHI Perth’s next generation of performers, musicians, and theatre-makers.
